FAIRBOURNE

Officail Final Exhibition.jpg

Fairbourne is a body of video installations and still images set in a small seaside village in North Wales called Fairbourne located between Snowdonia national park and Barmouth Bay.

The village is set to be fully submerged by the sea in the coming years due to rising sea levels caused by global warming, labelling the residents as 'Britain's first climate refugees'.

The body of work focuses on humanity and our connections to the natural world, while touching upon themes of phenomenology, the sublime and our current environmental epoch of the Anthropocene.

Shown above is a 3D virtual exhibition of how the work would be shown within the gallery space, i created a prototype on Photoshop that allowed me to visualise the exhibition before moving it into the physical space.
